Our clients and patients have cultural beliefs about death, dying, and survival beyond, which influence how they diagnose their symptoms, and whether they accept our treatments. Join this online event to learn more about being human, and invite your staff and colleagues to participate. Part discussion, part presentation.
This workshop is the second in the series and invites participants to investigate: various cultural expectations about what happens to consciousness after death; religious beliefs about survival beyond death and their relevance for the living. We explore cultural explanations for conditions and experiences, which may attract psychiatric attention; bereavement, apparitions, visions, altered states of consciousness.
Dr. Tobert explores ancestral wisdoms through her research in India, Africa, and with indigenous American wisdoms.
